MAC Light Boost: Lighter. Brighter. Better

I don't know about you but my weekly routine consists of one too many late night TV shows and morning alarms at an ungodly hour. This all makes for puffy, dark circles round the ol' eye area. Not  cute. However, there is a quick fire remedy for those bags.

Now, you may be sensing a theme here, especially the ode to the Laura Mercier High Coverage Concealer for Under Eye on my previous post, that I am obsessed with eye brightening. Using brightening products under the eye changes the whole look of your face and make up. It's also a great way to compliment any contour without a fleck of shimmer in sight.

MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter pen has been a staple of mine from when I used to work for the company. It was a huge seller and for good reason. It now comes in 4 shades but Light Boost is most certainly my favourite. It is the lightest of shades with a yellow undertone which cancels out any darkness around the eye area. Similar to the YSL Touché Éclat, its easy to swipe on and blend with fingers or a brush. I tend to apply it within a triangle shape reaching down over my cheek bones to really make use of it's brightening properties. It's also spot on shade-wise for any fair skinned beauties too. You can also use it however and wherever you wish, on top or under make up and other other points on the face to add luminosity too. I like to use it down the nose and cupids bow in true Kim K style (without the fuss). Coverage is sheer/medium so you may want to add a little more heavy duty concealer underneath on more problem areas. This product is foolproof and retails in at a not too eye-wincing £18.50- and you do get the bang for your buck (it lasts ages!). Kudos MAC, I don't feel so guilty about those one too many late nights.

Small clap for me for trying to come up with other words other than bright.
