Currently Coveting #1

Today marks the first instalment of the Currently Coveting series, a round up of all my weekly faves that have been gracing my life with sunshine and happiness...you get the picture.

Nars Sheer Glow in Fiji- My undying love of foundations is still burning strong with this magic number. This has made the rounds on blogs many of times and I can see why. A beautiful, light formula with just the right amount of coverage. I'm really loving this at the moment, it manages to give a fresh, healthy complexion without having to shovel too much on. Now, don't be too drawn in to the word "glow", it's definitely not the most dewy of foundations and is definitely more on the satin side, but does give you that natural "my skin but better" feel. It's definitely a marmite product but one to put on your to do list. Full review to come...

Laura Mercier High Coverage Concealer for Under Eye- And breathe. After seeing this on Ruth Crilly's A Model Recommends video, I needed to get my hands on this stat. OH MY GIDDY AUNT, this is HG status. You need the teeniest, pin point of a dollop and dark circles be gone. At first, you would think this would be extremely drying and hard to work with but once warmed in the finger tips, it blends like a dream. It really brightens up my under eyes, perfect when I've substituted a couple of hours sleep for the friends box set. It covers any darkness instantly and lasts all day, even under the ever changing temperature of my office. LM have also been extremely generous with shade offerings. VLB: Try a creamy eye cream to avoid if you suffer from overly dry areas. At £23, it's a small price to pay for a new BFF.

Le Blanc De Chanel- I'll let you in to a secret, I am no good at speaking French..."Can i have that white primer you do please?" is how I described it to the Sales Assistant. I never thought primers had room in my life in past days but over time, learnt to love them. Chanel have really bunged some good stuff in to this one. It contains witch-hazel extract which reduces any larger pores and liquorice extract to even out texture and tone. I can vouch for this, it glides beautifully and soothes any redness I have. It also contain Silica which does mattify without masking too much. I use this before foundation, mixed in with a base and even on my cheek bones for a quick "pick me up" without looking like a disco ball. If you do have any problem areas, it is well worth investing in and is now a staple of my everyday face.

  1. I love the sound of the Nars Sheer glow, it seems like just what I'm after for Autumn. I look forward to your full review. And you've really sold that concealer to me!
I've not tried anything by any of these brands, but I'll definitely be checking out both Laura Mercier and Nars now.
