Faking It

"I woke up like dis..." Sadly, unlike Queen Bey, I did not wake up looking so flawless in fact, I have to fake the look more often than not. However, with this triple threat routine (and 4 minutes of your routine) it makes it easy as pie to transform yourself from dreary to dreamy.

Clarins Instant Smooth Self Tanning Primer- The initial stage is always prepping the skin. This offering from Clarins smooths over pesky pores and gives a natural faux glow. Ideal. Now, it does have "that" fake tan smell but it's a con to persevere with as this works under make up and develops a little colour. If you're not gifted with sun kissed, olive skin, this caramel potion is what you need. Light enough for oilier complexions and nourishing enough for those who are drier. I massage this into the skin straight after moisturiser, good to glow.

Dior Glow Maximiser Light Boosting Primer- Another primer? Stick with me here. This pearlescent lotion works magic on a multitude of sins. I could write an ode to this product alone. I find it works best mixed in with any base and dabbed across the cheekbones. This brightens the skin without looking to shiny/disco ball/sweaty. Think Candice Swanepoel skin...almost. The Glow Maximiser would look beautiful on it's own if your blessed with blemish free skin. The price makes me weep a little, but this is on the re-purchase list so take note.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation- As if this hasn't been circulating on the blogosphere for yonks already, I am still on that bandwagon. I swore by this but then begun using other foundation and have come running back. Why I even stopped using this is beyond me. Long lasting, non-greasy and ridiculously blendable. I use Shade 6, which is perfect when I have a tan but is still inconspicuous without. Use a little of this along with the Dior and you have yourself a winner. With no SPF you can take as many selfies as you want an no ghost face...get instagramming.

Sometimes, theres no shame in faking it a little. What are your staples that work magic on your bug bares?
